Governors' Annual Statement 2024/25
In accordance with the Government’s requirements for all Governing Boards, the three strategic functions of Upshire Primary Foundation School's Governing Board are:-
- Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
- Holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and it’s pupils
- Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent
Our Governing Board consists of 10 members who have the skills and expertise required to contribute to the effective governance and success of the school.
Our Plans for 2024/25
As in previous years, the School Development Plan (‘SDP’) for this year was based on priorities identified from data and school self-evaluation priorities. Governors will be monitoring progress towards achieving these goals. The SDP is monitored and reviewed termly by the Curriculum & Pupils Related Matters Committee.
Safeguarding
We want to ensure that a culture of awareness and vigilance is maintained for the safety and wellbeing of the pupils and staff in our school.
Review
The Governing Board regularly performs a skills audit of its members and carries out a Governing Board self-review and evaluation.
We always welcome suggestions, feedback and ideas from parents – please contact the Clerk to the Governing Board via the school office - 01992 715567.
